Well, I wasn’t thrilled when I saw today’s tea, Organic Cinnamon Rooibos Chai, especially after the last tea which had a lot of cinnamon. Don’t get me wrong, I love cinnamon, but in some things a little goes a long way, and in most cases, tea is one of those things.
After opening the tin and sniffing the contents, I wasn’t sure what to think. Yes, the cinnamon scent was extremely strong. But at the same time it evoked strong feelings of nostalgia because it smelled like a package of those red cinnamon hearts you buy at Valentine’s Day..
I set the water to heat, and then steeped the tea for 5 minutes with near boiling water. The cinnamon heart smell increased with the addition of hot water, so I was hopeful that this tea might be better than the last cinnamon one.
