Fossilized Armor (poem)

Amazing Pic and Prose!

The Tropical Flowering Zone

FOSSILIZED ARMOR

I slept
Underneath fossilized armor

The cracks, ridges, and scales
Of a reptilian sage

Running rives of lore
Through the crevices of shedding stages

Wearing my mask
Throughout the ages

Hardening shields with solar kiln
Between layers

And molting away skins
From timely, due, betrayals…
